This Mondrian inspired bedroom used colour blocking, bold geometry and DIY details to turn a plain room into something bright, graphic and full of character. The wardrobe became a statement feature rather than background storage, while a cheap wooden ladder was painted with leftover colours and turned into a custom planter. It was a simple example of the AHD approach: use what you have, make it personal, and never let practical rooms become boring beige boxes. Additional photos by Jon Rowley
