Maximalist Living Room

Maximalist | Bristol | Dopamine Decor
Part of Acid House Designs ground zero, this Haçienda inspired maximalist living room was a manifesto in three dimensions: pop art colour, bold stripes, clashing patterns, industrial materials and objects that feel like a rave crashed into a junk yard....but in a good way. Every detail, from the eye bursting palette to the out of place objects, was chosen to make the space feel alive, joyful and unmistakably personal. It was dopamine decor before dopamine decor became a hashtag. It was not about following trends or creating a tasteful neutral room. It was about making a living room with real identity. The press called the flat a “maximalist dream”, a “cornucopia of delights” and “unadulterated madness”. In other words, exactly what a home should be: personal, memorable, colourful and definitely not beige. Additional Pictures: Jon Rowley
